Just as a farmer works tirelessly to harvest grains after days of hard labor, which we later consume to fill our stomachs, similarly, a weaver spends days of effort to prepare cloth, which we use to cover our bodies. This narrative is dedicated to our ancestors, who preserved this craftsmanship, allowing us today to create something the world knows as the Banarasi saree. This craftsmanship has been in our blood for almost 200 years, dating back to a time when our ancestors had very little to survive on. My grandfather and father used to tell me how, during those days of extreme poverty, if someone carried a bundle of wood, people would whisper, saying, “Today, they’ll have a meal at home.” Despite this, our forefathers never gave up on their craft. Even in such hardship, they maintained the art that has been passed down to us as a legacy. Today, we proudly present this skill to the whole world. We invite you to visit us and see this craftsmanship firsthand, as we continue to share this beautiful tradition with you. Thank you.
